京都で植物を使ったアートワークの制作も手掛けるedalab.と竹井事務所がコラボレーション。
植物と骨董品をもっと気軽に生活の一部として取り入れていただきたい。
そんな思いから制作した「枯物」。
長く形の変わらない道具達と生を受けそのままの姿で枯死した植物達。両者姿を変える事なく時は止まり続け、今日までその体を残してきました。
古い道具達を見立てそれをベースとし、これからも姿を変えない植物達を掛け合わせることで、未来へと継がれて行くものへとしました。
edalab.
前田裕也による植物のプロジェクトとして2016年京都にedalab.を開設。
店舗や施設の装飾、ブライダルやイベント装飾を中心に活動しながら並行してアートワークの制作も行う。
2018年春 初のエキシビション『百の植物片』をMTRL KYOTOにて開催。
また不定期で『秘密の花屋』をタイトルにしたオープンラボも開催しています。
竹井事務所
2015年西天満竹井をオープン。主に日本の伝統文化を発信するサロンとして骨董、 浮世絵の取り扱いを行う。
2020年Wa.gallery-osaka—を開廊。ハタノワタル氏を迎え、
コンテンポラリーアートギャラリーの運営を開始。
2023年同ビル2Fにアンティークスペースをオープン。
空闇として成立する日本の美意識を届けることを目指す。
Collaboration between edalab. and Takei Office, which also produces artwork using plants in Kyoto.
We want to make plants and antiques more easily a part of our daily lives.
“Kobutu" was created with this in mind.
Tools that have remained unchanged in form for a long time and plants that have died in the same form as they were born. Time has stopped without changing the shapes of both, and their bodies have remained until today.
By using the old tools as a base, and combining them with plants that will never change shape, I have created something that will be handed down to the future.
edalab.
edalab. was established in Kyoto in 2016 as a plant project by Yuya Maeda.
While working mainly on shop and facility decorations, bridal and event decorations, he also creates artwork in parallel.
Spring 2018: first exhibition 'One Hundred Plant Fragments' at MTRL KYOTO.
Also holds irregular open labs with the title 'Secret Flower Shop'.
Takei Office
Nishitenma Takei opened in 2015. Mainly deals in antiques and ukiyo-e prints as a salon for traditional Japanese culture.
2020 Opening of Wa.gallery-osaka-. Starts running a contemporary art gallery with Mr Wataru Hatano.
In 2023, opens an antique space on the 2nd floor of the same building. In 2023, an antique space will be opened on the 2nd floor of the same building.
Aims to deliver a Japanese aesthetic that can be established as empty and dark.
