このたびWa.galleryは、京都・妙顕寺にて開催されるCURATION⇄FAIR Kyoto 2025 に出展いたします。
長い歳月を経た寺院空間という特異な場において、私たちは作家・加藤貢介の作品を通じて、素材と祈り、そして時間の響きを提示いたします。

加藤の作品は、幾重にも折り重なる時間を内包するダマスカス鋼から生まれる。
鍛錬を繰り返すことで刻まれる層の文様は、金属が記憶する呼吸であり、静謐の中に潜む力の痕跡でもある。
その表面に浮かび上がる波紋は、見る者の内側にある「祈り」や「循環」の感覚を呼び覚ます。
今回の展示は、京都の古刹・妙顕寺という特異な場で行われる。
かつて多くの祈りが積層してきた空間に、金属が重ねた時間の層が響き合い、現代の工芸と精神のあいだに静かな対話を生み出す。
加藤が鍛えるのは素材そのものだけではない。
それは、物質の内に眠る「気配」や「声」を掬い上げ、光と影のあわいに存在する新たな秩序を見出す行為である。
Wa.galleryは、この重なり合う時間と祈りの共鳴を、空間そのものをひとつの作品として提示する。

Wa.gallery is pleased to announce our participation in CURATION⇄FAIR Kyoto 2025, held at Myoken-ji Temple in Kyoto.
Within the unique atmosphere of a temple space that has withstood the passage of time, we will present the works of artist Kosuke Kato, conveying the resonance of material, prayer, and time.

Kato’s works are born from Damascus steel — a material that enfolds layers of time within itself.
Through repeated forging, patterns emerge in the strata of metal — a breath the metal remembers, and a trace of power that lies hidden within stillness.
The ripples that surface on its face awaken in the viewer a sense of “prayer” and “circulation” dwelling deep within.
This exhibition takes place in the singular setting of Myoken-ji, an ancient temple in Kyoto.
In a space where countless prayers have accumulated over centuries, the layers of time forged into metal resonate, giving rise to a quiet dialogue between contemporary craft and spirit.
What Kato tempers is not only the material itself.
It is an act of drawing forth the subtle “presence” and “voice” that slumber within matter, and of discovering a new order that exists in the interstice between light and shadow.
Wa.gallery presents this resonance of layered time and prayer — offering the entire space itself as a single work of art.
